What is Shop Rocket City?

It’s all about building a strong community.

Shop Rocket City is an effort by Barry Publishing to help encourage local shopping and spread the word about the value of shopping locally.

Our website features a directory of member business that tells you what services or products they provide as well as where they are located and how to contact them.

Additionally each member business displays a decal or plaque in their place of business with the Shop Rocket City Card in view.

Shop Rocket City’s members all own or operate businesses in the local area to Huntsville and Madison county and are committed to offering residents and visitors quality and value.

Our mission is to help these businesses grown and thrive, and at the same time, make Huntsville Alabama even more livable and vibrant while continuing to flourish economically.

Membership is open to all types and sizes of businesses as long as they are operating in Huntsville Alabama.

What can we do for you?

Online Presence:  When you join Shop Rocket City’s local shoppers club you’ll be featured in a detailed listing on our website, with a link back to your own Website. If you do not have a website that is okay. We can still list your business. We do offer website packages to members from Barry Publishing at a 50% discount for select packages.

Marketing:  You will be afforded the opportunity to list specials and events on our email newsletter that is distributed to consumers who are interested in what you have to offer. These consumers have signed up to receive the newsletter so they are interested and will read your offerings. You may include any sells, specials, events, weekly.

Stand Out from the Crowd:  Membership  lets consumers know your business is in Huntsville and that you are dedicated to providing value to the local community.

Help Charities: Our membership cards are sold by local charity organizations for $10.00. The charity keeps 9 dollars from every card they sell. The remaining dollar goes to defray the cost of the cards.

Membership is open to Huntsville Businesses. If you own and operate a business in Huntsville you can join the Shop Rocket City Club.
